Operating Engineers Local 132 Join CEPI

The Coalition for the Expansion of Pipeline Infrastructure is proud to announce its newest member – the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 132 in Charleston, West Virginia. IUOE is a progressive trade union representing heavy equipment operators and mechanics, as well as operations, maintenance and other workers in building and industrial complexes and service industries throughout the United States and Canada. Since its founding in 1935, Operating Engineers Local 132 has been representing its members in the state of West Virginia.

Members of OE Local 132 will play an integral role in the construction of the Rover Pipeline. These tradesmen and women operate the heavy machinery needed to excavate earth while laying the pipeline and return properties to their original state. The Operating Engineers’ extensive training and safety procedures ensure that the project will be undertaken responsibly, with minimal impacts to landowners along the Rover route.

Operating Engineers Local 132 represents yet another voice in the growing support for the responsible expansion of pipeline infrastructure. CEPI is particularly excited to add another member in West Virginia, demonstrating the widespread support for the Rover Pipeline. We look forward to continuing our mission of educating the public on natural gas pipeline projects and their vital importance to the energy security of our region.
