CEPI Welcomes WV Laborers’ District Council

In yet another indication of the growing support for the responsible construction of our region’s energy infrastructure, the West Virginia Laborers’ District Council has joined CEPI. An affiliate of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA), the Laborers represent 6,000 hardworking men and women across West Virginia. The Rover Pipeline will employ as many as 2,200 construction workers in West Virginia, many of whom will come from the ranks of LiUNA and its state-based affiliates.

CEPI is excited to share this news about its growing membership in the state of West Virginia. Natural gas infrastructure like Rover will provide the state with both an important source of construction jobs as well as an affordable supply of energy, supporting manufacturers and businesses throughout West Virginia. Members of the WV Laborers’ District Council, along with a number of other trade unions throughout the region, ensure that projects such as the Rover Pipeline are constructed safely and responsibly. CEPI is proud to add such longstanding, dedicated organizations to its ranks.
