natural gasA coalition called Michigan Energy Speaks is working to present several forums focused on energy supply across Michigan in late 2015 and 2016. The Coalition, which is comprised of notable groups such as LiUNA, LECET, Michigan Oil and Gas Association, and the American Petroleum Institute (API), will present its first forum on natural gas development on Friday, December 11th in Bay City.

Friday’s event will include a keynote speech from a top executive at Dow Chemical followed by a panel discussion including the Michigan Agribusiness Association, Michigan United Conservation Clubs and Dr. Charles Steele from the Hillsdale College. Dr. Steele most recently co-authored a study for the Ohio State Grange showing the benefits natural gas pipeline infrastructure will bring to farmers across our region.
